It’s hard to believe that spring is already right around the corner. We’re looking ahead to a season full of change as work continues to move forward at Holly Springs Town Center.

Work on the Town Center Site
Though the many days of rain through this wet winter have presented a challenge, sitework has continued to make steady progress at Holly Springs Town Center. While underlying infrastructure, retaining walls and pipe continue to go in on the main site, a sense of place has started to come together – flags will soon be flying high in the center of the new roundabout that connects the site and a stone wall and monument are going up now.

Refreshing Holly Springs Icons
At the doorway to the Town Center site, work is also underway on reinvigorating two of our most recognizable City landmarks – the Train Depot and the Hardin House. Renovations begin this month on the Holly Springs Train Depot and will include the addition of windows throughout the main meeting space, replacement of the access ramp and decking as well as painting the exterior façade – all carefully planned through our partners at Caldwell Cline Architects to maintain the historical integrity of the building. There will also be an expansion of the parking lot for the Depot and the addition of parking lot access to Palm Street, making sure that our community can enjoy special events and celebrations here for years to come. The Train Depot will be closed from March through September 2023 while this work is ongoing.  Across the street, the historic Hardin House is also getting a welcome refresher with exterior touch-ups and painting as well as new sidewalks and landscaping.
