Town Center Celebrates Topping Out of New Parking Deck
The City of Holly Springs and Holly Springs Town Center teams came together last week to celebrate the first of many milestones as construction progresses. An official Topping Out Ceremony marked the completion of vertical construction on the new parking deck on the Town Center site!
The parking deck will provide ample free public parking with more than 300 spaces for residents and visitors as they enjoy the restaurants, entertainment and community spaces at Town Center. Its strategic location to the northern corner of the site will allow easy Hickory Springs Parkway entry and exit. At the same time, it will allow traffic to funnel away from the heart of the site, affording Town Center a welcoming, pedestrian-focused feel. Addressing infrastructure first has been a priority for the Town Center – the product of years of thoughtful planning to create a comfortable and dynamic setting where you can spend a whole day and look forward to coming back again. One of the keys to creating this feel is in the Town Center’s uniquely intended design to bring people to the forefront and to de-emphasize cars.
The result is a Town Center experience focused on community in a place that’s designed to encourage visitors to park the car and stay for the day exploring on foot. And there’s certainly plenty to explore! Start the day with a morning cup of coffee or catch a seasonal farmer’s market or pop-up. Soak up the sunshine in the plaza, then meet friends for a brew and a bite before grabbing your spot centerstage for live music at the amphitheater. Morning, noon and night, you’ll find something new to do at Town Center. Incorporating a diversity of spaces, merchants, activities and entertainment has also been an important part of the planning process to ensure there are many different reasons to come to Town Center and many different ways to enjoy the space, no matter when you happen to be there.
While the parking deck was reason to pause and celebrate, work continues to move steadily ahead on the next pieces of the Town Center with construction bidding preparations well underway for both the amphitheater and the new Holly Springs City Hall.
