Holly Springs Town Center Celebrates Groundbreaking for New City Hall

The City of Holly Springs and Holly Springs Town Center teams came together this week to celebrate the official groundbreaking for the new Holly Springs City Hall located within Town Center. Construction of the new City Hall by Gilbane Building Company is expected to commence the first quarter of 2026 and be completed by summer 2027. “Not long ago we marked the official groundbreaking for the Amphitheatre at Town Center and now we’re excited to share another milestone with the groundbreaking for City Hall as the vision for this next chapter in the story of Holly Springs continues to come to life,” says Holly Springs Mayor Ryan P. Shirley. “This will be a place for coming together, a place where the people of Holly Springs can have their voices heard, and a place that can be a symbol of our future together as a community.”

Mayor Shirley was joined by city officials and representatives from the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce as well as development and construction partners to mark the occasion.  Envisioned as a three-story brick and stone design with an iconic clock tower and charming early 20th-century architecture honoring the rich history of the community itself, the new City Hall will anchor the heart of Holly Springs Town Center sitting at one end of the market plaza and lawn opposite the Town Center Amphitheatre which broke ground in September. Along either side of the central plaza, a diverse mix of restaurant, retail, entertainment and office spaces are in the works – all coming together to create a long-anticipated walkable, Main Street inspired destination for Downtown Holly Springs.
